Our current partnership with the Center for Cancer Research And Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University is designed to increase awareness of prostate cancer, which kills a disproportionate number of African American men.

Amiri Baraka is one of the most recognized and lauded writers and poets of his generation, and one of the most widely respected and published African American writers this side of James Baldwin.

Baraka was in Atlanta and at Clark Atlanta University for the CAU History Department's W. E. B. Du Bois and the Wings Of Atlanta 50th Anniversary Commemorative Conference.

Baraka stopped in to chat with Jay Edwards about the challenges faced by all of those in Africa and throughout the African Diaspora.

For the third year, Jazz 91.9 WCLK in partnership with Clark Atlanta University, the Atlanta University Center Consortium Institutions and Environmental Protection Agency will rally individuals to collect paper products, plastics, cans, cardboard, glass, cell phones and computer monitors for AUC Recyclemania Day. AUC Recyclemania Day takes place on Saturday, February 9 from 10:00 a.m.
