Jazz 91.9 WCLK Atlanta’s Jazz Station celebrates its 40th Anniversary with a very special evening performance, Give Me the Night with George Benson on Friday, May 9, 8:00 p.m. at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta.
Redefining the world of music by garnering the first platinum Jazz album, Benson builds a connection with audiences through his iconic guitar riffs and compelling vocals. The Jazz 91.9 WCLK 40th Anniversary Benefit Concert will feature trademark hits, classics and songs from Benson’s new album, Inspiration.
Sunday afternoon February 9 from 2-5pm is the time and CAU's Trevor Arnett Hall is the place for Ascending Yellow at the Clark Atlanta University Galleries. This festive celebration of great visual and spoken word arts will feature an auction of internationally renowned artwork with proceeds going towards the historic permanent collection at CAU. Broadway and television actress Lisa Arrindell Anderson will emcee.
The Clark Atlanta University Galleries are located in Trevor Arnett Hall on the CAU Campus.

Friday, February 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. There are a number of events taking place in and around Atlanta, including an event at Greenbriar Mall Friday afternoon.
As part of WCLK's Fulton Focus program we were joined by Fulton County Health Department Official Veronica Hartwell, and Dazon Dixon Diallo, founder of Sister Love. Sister Love was founded in Atlanta in 1989 and is a volunteer group of women interested in educating Atlanta, and especially communities of women, about AIDS prevention, self-help and safer sex techniques.
