Dee Dee Bridgewater recently came off the road with the Monterey Jazz Festival On Tour, which features Saxophonist Chris Potter. Potter steps out as a combo leader with his new release on ECM "The Sirens", which interpolates contemporary straight ahead jazz idiom to tell the musical story of Homer's 8th Century Epic "The Odyssey."
NPR and WBGO captured Potter at the Village Vanguard, playing the new record at its launch.
You can hear this set live Sunday night at 8pm on the Jazz of The City.
