The Buckhead-Cascade City Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is made up of leading Atlanta-area African American women who are committed to making a difference in our city's horrific human trafficking problem. They do this by raising public awareness and by supporting organizations that are saving girls and women from the sex trade and allowing them space to heal and try to build normal lives.

The Joseph E. Lowery Institute For Justice and Human Rights presents I've Known Rivers, a theatrical and musical celebration of the life of Joseph E. Lowery, celebrating his 92nd birthday. The event takes place Sunday, October 6 at 6pm at the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel on the Morehouse University Campus.
The event will feature Emcee Steve Harvey, special musical guest Jamie Foxx, and the Joseph E. Lowery Agent of Change Award to be given to Atlanta based filmmaker Tyler Perry.

Jazz Trumpet virtuoso Arturo Sandoval called in to chat with Jay Edwards on Jazz Tones in advance of his Friday performance at the Ferst Center at Georgia Tech. Vivacious, talented and charismatic, Arturo Sandoval has traveled the world with his blend of infectious, mind-blowing jazz, winning Grammy, Billboard and Emmy awards. Born in Cuba in 1949, Sandoval is a protégé of jazz master Dizzy Gillespie and has evolved into one of the world’s most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugelhorn.
