Ovee Comes To WCLK

Jazz 91.9 WCLK in partnership with the International Television Services will conduct beta version field testing of OVEE, a new social screening platform for watching television.  OVEE is a digital engagement platform which allows Jazz 91.9 to better serve communities by administering live, online screenings of most public broadcasting programs while interacting with participants in real time.

WCLK will host a variety of 30 to 60 minute public and invitation only video screenings now through June 2013 which will be moderated by station staff, interesting personalities and public radio influencers.   All a user would need in order to participate in a screening is a computer with internet access.

“OVEE is an easy to use platform that allows WCLK to advance interactivity with members, listeners and supporters by creating unique forums for sharing insight, cultivating communities and enhancing information exchange,” says Wendy Williams, general manager, Jazz 91.9 WCLK.  “We are excited to be in the forefront of developing, implementing and offering innovative technology.”

OVEE is intended to enable public broadcasting stations and their partners to host live social screening events without the logistical constraints of a physical convening.   If you are interested in participating in a screening and for more information about OVEE, please contact:  shjackson@cau.edu.
