Atlanta Beltline Helps Fund Homes Along The Westside Trail On The Local Take With Kiplyn Primus

Atlanta's 22 mile stretch of intown trail called The Beltline has taken off in East Atlanta.  The Beltline's Westside Trail broke ground in November on 3 miles of trail and park linkups running from University Avenue in Adair Park north To Lena Avenue at Washington Park.  Many WCLK listeners may have noticed the removal of the  bridge across Martin Luther King Drive near Washington Park recently.  This bridge will be reconstructed as part of The Beltline.

Saturday morning as part of The Local Take With Kiplyn Primus, Kiplyn will catch up with James Alexander, the Housing Policy & Development Director for the Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. about their partnership with the FHLB.  The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (FHLBank Atlanta) and Atlanta BeltLine Inc. have launched an affordable housing finance partnership that offers a cumulative $600K in grant funding for the purchase of new homes or rehabilitation of existing homes along the Atlanta BeltLine corridor. Funding is available exclusively to FHLBank Atlanta member financial institutions and their eligible customers earning 80 percent or less than the area median income.

This opportunity is available for singles, couples and families.  Eligible homebuyers could receive up to 25% or $45,000 for a downpayment. Eligible homeowners could receive up to $25,000 to make needed repairs to keep their home warm, safe, and dry. Learn the details and pre-qualify for this program here: http://fhlb.beltline.org/
