CAU's Dr. Peter Molnar Talks Big Data and Career Opportunities

CAU's Peter Molnar, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Clark Atlanta University Department of Computer and Information Science, who last week was among a select group of industry leaders chosen to deliver keynote addresses at the Atlanta branch of the "Big Data Week" global conference.  The genesis of big data pushes the limits of what is possible in the world of technology, said Michael Dogan, interim chief information officer for the City of Atlanta. Molnar was chosen to be a part of this conference because he represents leadership and innovation in the field, and is considered a visionary who can articulate what big data can do for industry now and in the future.

Molnar joined WCLK’s Rob Maynard on a CAU Now segment on the WCLK Public Affairs Block to talk big data, how to live with it, and how CAU offers degree programs that can lead to a career in data science, which he calls “the new Liberal Arts degree.”
