It really is "the most wonderful time of the year," the hustle and bustle of trying to get everything done before the "big" day, juggling end of the year work deadlines, assuring yourself that the house is really clean "enough" and oh yes, let us not forget the everyday bills that still must be on time! However, with all of the "wonderfulness" of this time of the year - it still can be bittersweet and downright stressful for so many. The loss of a loved one, anxiety about the future, finances and the moral combat we are all witnessing domestically and globally seems to be magnified during this special time of the year. However, the sound of great Jazz music can really aid in helping to balance it all and help to maintain one's "om!"
On Christmas Eve, join Jazz 91.9 WCLK Jazz Host, Debb Moore during the Sunday Jazz Suite, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., as she unpacks the "stuff" musically, with "God's Musical Creativity." Ms. Moore will be joined by Rev. Dr. Dwight D. Andrews, senior minister of First Congregational Church, UCC, who is also an accomplished Jazz musician and bandleader for Jazz Vespers. The impact of listening to good Jazz music and lyrics that will lift, heal and help one to win can not be denied. We'll also talk about Geri Allen, Al Jarreau, Nina Simone and pay our respects to Kevin Mahogany, who passed upward on Sunday, December 17, 2017. We'll hear what the Rev. has to say...you're invited to join us, Christmas Eve at 11:00 a.m.!
