Clark Atlanta University and Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity education takes a great leap forward at Clark Atlanta University.  We speak with Dr. Roy George who is the chairperson of the CIS (Computer Information Systems) department at CAU.  Dr. George was recently named by The Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the Top 100 Technology Leaders in Atlanta.

We discuss the White House announcement regarding the $25 Million grant funding Cybersecurity Education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities which will create a consortium that includes national labs as well as outreach to a K-12 district.  We also talk about the lack of diversity in the technology community and what can be done to recruit more students to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers.

More importantly, Dr. George explains that the CIS department is always recruiting. Graduates of this program leave with multiple job offers. There are undergraduate and graduate programs available for interested students.  For information you can contact Dr. George at rgeorge@cau.edu
