Feb. 14: Jazz Tones w/ Jay Edwards Features Jazz Vocalist Cyrille Aimee

Ariane Rousselier
Cyrille Aimee

Cyrille Aimee is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter-performer-chanteuse of French  and Dominican ethnic extraction who cannot be neatly pigeonholed. She interprets tunes from Stephen Sondheim to Jimmy McHugh and Frank Loesser.  Cyrille won the vocal contest at the  Montreux Jazz Festival in 2007 and her singing has been influenced by Gypsy music such as Django Reinhardt. Her recent release is "Let's Get Lost." I will interview Cyrille Aimee on Jazz Tones on Sunday, February 14 in advance of her Saturday, February 20 appearance at the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech.
