Gail Tusan-Washington On Why We Must Fight Human Trafficking In Atlanta

The Buckhead Cascade City Chapter of The Links, Inc., led a community conversation about Human Trafficking on November 15, designed to make everyone aware of the costs and destruction created by this modern-era American slavery.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Gail Tusan-Washington talked with Kiplyn Primus about takeaways from this event on a Local Take segment airing Saturday morning at 7a on the WCLK Public Affairs Block.

Want some sad facts about human trafficking?

Human Trafficking is basically modern day slavery.

It involves exploiting victims to perform acts of slavery and prostitution

There are about 13 million children and 27 million adults around the world who are victims of human trafficking.

Human Trafficking not only affects those in foreign countries, but right here in our nation, especially Atlanta, GA.

Atlanta, GA is the nation’s number one hub for human trafficking
