Kiplyn Primus, Robbin Shipp Talk Sandra Bland, Police Brutality On The Local Take On WCLK Sat 7a

Join Kiplyn Primus for The Local Take on WCLK Saturday morning at 7am before Tavis as she discusses the recent death of Sandra Bland, a black woman who died under questionable circumstances while in police custody following a routine traffic stop in Waller County Texas. Bland was on her way to her alma mater, Prairie View A&M University, to deliver a speech on child welfare, civil rights, and social issues. Bland had been outspoken about the issue of police brutality.

Kiplyn will be joined in studio by Attorney and Author Robbin Shipp, author of Justice While Black. Why do so many African Americans end up arrested or dead after traffic stops? Why does the media pretend this is a new phenomenon(or not a phenomenon at all), when it's a variation on a theme that's been happening for centuries? What can you do to protect yourself and your family from a bad encounter with law enforcement officers?

More information on Justice While Black and Robbin Shipp is available here.
