Kiplyn Primus
Brittney Reese with Olympic Silver Medal

Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 a.m. on The Local Take on Jazz 91.9 WCLK,  I'll talk with Olympic Champion Brittney Reese, who won the silver medal in the women's long jump at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.  Reese won the gold medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Brittney spoke with us about the difference in performing at the Olympics compared with other track and field meets that she participates in throughout the year.  She spoke about serving your country through your abilities and being a positive representation for the nation.

In addition, she spoke about her upcoming Kids Camp in her hometown of Gulfport, MS taking place on September 24.  The agility camp will focus on physical fitness and, is open to all kids ages eight and up.

She also share with us that she became a mom after adopting an eight year old little boy.  She speaks about this new challenge in her life and, how she balances work and motherhood.

Although it is early, I also asked Ms. Reese about her plans for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.
