The Local Take: Dragon Con Returns To Atlanta Labor Day Weekend, Calling Captain Kirk

On the Saturday morning, August 27 edition of The Local Take on Jazz 91.9 WCLK,  I talked with Dan Carroll about the 2016 Dragon Con event.  The event will run Labor Day weekend, Friday, September 2 through Monday, August 5 in Downtown Atlanta.  For the first time the  famous Dragon Con Parade will be televised live on the CW Network WUPA 69 at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3.  This year's star attendees are William Shatner, the original Captain Kirk of the Starship Enterprise; the stars of IZombie; and, familiar names from television, movies, music and comics.   The comic book section has grown so large that they will be in their own area at America's Mart, as this home-grown event grows in stature and space.
