The Local Take Reminds You To VOTE November 8

During the October 8 edition of  The Local Take on Jazz 91.9 WCLK, we talked about voter registration with Clark Atlanta University (CAU) Political Science Professor, Dr. William Boone; Cheryl Turner with the Gate City Bar Association;  Meka Ward with Buckhead-Cascade Links; and, Karlise Grier from the League of Women Voters.  During our live broadcast on voting some things to remember include:

1-If you missed the deadline to register to vote for the November 8th Presidential election, still register to vote. This whole election season has been crazy. Remember the hanging chad debacle in the 2000 election? This year could be worst and you might wish you were registered to participate in a run-off or other vote that might be needed to decided 2016 races. Click here to register in Georgia or here to register throughout the United States

2-If you have any questions about your vote being challenged for any reason (your race, your ethnicity, your language skills, your identification) please vote early.  Early voting locations are manned by election board officials who can help you with any challenge you may have.  Additionally they will have any necessary forms and can direct you to the correct information.

Early voting in Georgia is between October 17 and November 4.

By County: Early voting locations throughout the state
