On the December 9 edition of The Local Take, I spoke with with Clark Atlanta University Political Science Professor Dr. William Boone about the Atlanta Mayoral runoff that happened last week. Keisha Lance Bottoms won the vote over her opponent Mary Norwood by fewer than 800 votes. Although there has been a call for a recount, Dr. Boone expects the mayor-elect to be installed as Mayor of Atlanta. I asked Dr. Boone about the schism with Atlanta's old guard and new. We also discussed Atlanta's changing demographics and the future of African American leadership in the city.
