Even if you aren't fully homeschooling, parents today must augment what their children are learning in the classroom to provide a better view of history, particularly as it relates to the black experience in America. Over the past few months even the mainstream media has taken note of the increase in African-American families who are choosing to home school as opposed to public and private school options. Over 220,000 African American children are being home-schooled according to the National Home Education Research Institute. We are the fastest growing demographic for home schooling our children.
