New York City-based Steve Slagle is a Jazz saxophonist, flautist and composer that has released over a dozen sessions over the years. He has played with legends and up and comers. His latest on Panorama is called Dedication and features seven original tracks and a cover of Wayne Shorter's Charcoal Blues.
Slagle's combo on this record includes: Lawrence Fields on keys; Scott Colley on bass; Bill Stewart on drums; Roman Diaz on conga and percussion; and, Dave Stryker on guitar. You can hear cuts from Dedication on Jazz 91.9 WCLK during Serenade To The City, Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., as well as on Jazz Tones Sundays from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
