Operation PEACE Serves Atlanta's Old 4th Ward, Featured On WCLK

PEACE stands for Partnerships In Education And Community Enrichment.

Operation P.E.A.C.E was founded in 1995 when Edna Moffett and 25 college students residing at Bedford Pine in Atlanta met to discuss how to improve the lives of the children in this low income community.

Their first step was to develop an innovative after-school program, with the help of Wingate Management and HUD.

Since then, Operation P.E.A.C.E has expanded to include a youth summer academy, adult computer and job search training, and seniors programs.

Saturday morning at 7:30a on WCLK Community Focus, Rob Maynard speaks with Edna Moffett and several of the young people who's lives have been touched by this important community organization that relies on local HBCU students to provide role models to the kids in Atlanta's ever-changing Old 4th Ward neighborhoods.
