Rhonda Thomas Sings Baby, It's Cold Outside, Christmas Jazz On WCLK

Atlanta's own Rhonda Thomas can be heard throughout the year on WCLK, but we love to play her Christmas music.  You can hear her duet with Alex Lattimore, a cover of the soul classic Baby, It's Cold Outside during the holiday season on Atlanta's Jazz Station.  That cut comes from her Christmas album Little Drummer Girl

Rhonda tells WCLK Program Director Aaron Cohen "I grew up in Roosevelt NY and my mom played the Ray Charles/Betty Carter version of 'Baby It's Cold Outside' all season long. I always knew that when it came time to record a Christmas cd I would definitely cover it. I chose classic songs to record. My team and I put a spin on them to make them our own. My fondest Christmas memory is going to pick out a live tree with my brother and father. It was always freezing cold and my mom would have hot chocolate waiting for us to drink by the fire before we decorated the tree."
