Stepp Stewart Talks Georgia Independent Playwright Coalition, A Soulful Christmas

Stepp Stewart and The Chocolettes perform on The Dr. Oz Show

This week The Local Take speaks with Stepp Stewart about his upcoming holiday play and the Georgia Independent Playwright Coalition. 

Stepp Stewart has been bringing his brand of Broadway to Atlanta for five years. A Soulful Christmas, a holiday family favorite and staple of the holiday season returns to the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center with performances from December 1-4.

Additionally we speak with Stepp about his leadership for the Georgia Independent Playwright Coalition which was founded in 2015 by Paul Evans. The organization works with established and beginning playwrights and assist in bringing their art to the stage. 

India Jones, a member of the Stepp's Chocolettes Dance Troupe, spoke about her move to Atlanta and her audition to become a Chocolette. Avis LaShawn, a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, speaks about the first time she met Stepp Stewart and how she became a member of the cast.
