Your Health Connection Discusses Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Your Health Connection on WCLK featured a timely and important discussion of triple negative breast cancer for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  In a fascinating twist for listeners, our host JaQuitta Williams was also the guest survivor featured on the program.   She is a survivor of this particularly tough form of the disease, which disproportionately affects young people and African Americans.

JaQuitta was joined by leading Atlanta Surgeon Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed, who operated on her and has helped many Atlantans through the ordeal of breast cancer over the years.

They were also joined by survivor Barbara Watson-Riley, who called in to the program from Phoenix, Arizona.

Your Health Connection is a monthly program concerning developments in cancer treatment and a search for good outcomes for those who suffer from cancer.  It is made possible by the Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University and the National Institutes of Health.
