Bassist Will Goble dropped by The Midday Jazz Swing today to talk about this evening's appearance at Friday Jazz At The High Museum.

The High Museum of Art is pleased to present The Will Goble Quartet featuring Gregory Tardy for May's Friday Jazz artists.

WCLK will be there live Tuesday May 7 during the Midday Jazz Swing as the Atlanta Business League(ABL) celebrates their 35th Annual CEO Appreciation Luncheon honoring Renee Lewis Glover, CEO of the Atlanta Housing Authority.

The event will start at 11:30am  at  the Hyatt  Regency Downtown-Atlanta.

Each year the ABL recognizes chief executive officers  for outstanding participation in minority vendor development and community activities. This year’s “Ceo of the Year” is Atlanta Housing Authority CEO Renee Lewis Glover

In your car, home or office - tune into Midday Jazz Swing with Nicole Sweeney, weekdays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM for an eclectic mix of mainstream jazz fused with familiar tunes, standards, vocals and Atlanta based Jazz artists. Nicole Sweeney is joined on the Midday Jazz Swing today at noon by the Honorable Judge Brenda H. Cole for a discussion about the CAU Guild and it's annual fundraiser Jazz Under The Stars, coming up May 4 with Ramsey Lewis on the CAU Campus.  You can hear their chat on demand at the end of this post.

The CAU Guild has provided over $1.8 million to fund scholarships for students over the years.  Some 1,000 people are expected to attend this year's event, which takes place at 7pm in the Harkness Quadrangle on campus.

Join Nicole Sweeney for Friday Jazz @ The High Museum this evening beginning at 5pm for a double feature that will last until midnight.  Steve Dancz and his sextet will play, followed by the Latin sounds of Willy Ziavino and the C.O.T. Band.

Stroll the museum and take in the Frida and Diego exhibit, and settle in for some top-flight jazz, all hosted by your Midday Jazz Swing host Nicole.
