WCLK Holiday Music

WCLK loves the Christmas Season, and plays cuts from the various jazz artists who have been playing Christmas and other holiday songs from day one.  You'll hear plenty of them between Thanksgiving and New Year's, and you'll also hear other music specials throughout the year.

Music by Saxophonist, Producer and Composer, Kim Waters, is often heard on Jazz 91.9 WCLK.  This Holiday Season he has a new collection of classics called My Gift To You.   You can hear cuts off of this record throughout the day as part of the Jazz 91.9 holiday music mix.   My Gift To You includes features from his wife Dana (Pope) Waters on vocals and daughter Kayla on keyboard.  Click here to hear samples from the album.

Jazz 91.9 WCLK always plays Vince Guaraldi's Jazz compositions from A Charlie Brown Christmas as part of our holiday music.   If there is a spare, melodic, piano driven Jazz Christmas song that you love, there's a good chance it came from this record.  A Charlie Brown Christmas first aired on television on December 9, 1965, 50 years ago today.

The David Benoit Trio featuring Jane Monheit  and the All-American Boys Chorus present a record filled with holiday joy on Believe.   You can hear various cuts from this holiday release in the run up to Christmas on Jazz 91.9 WCLK, especially during Serenade To The City, Monday Through Friday,  10:00 p.m. until  2:00 a.m.

The holidays are a special time on 91.9 WCLK, Atlanta's Jazz Station. We play old favorites and new takes of the Christmas music beloved by Jazz heads everywhere.
