Holiday Music: Christmas By Vincent Ingala

Dec 13, 2017

Jazz 91.9 WCLK listeners know Vincent Ingala from his local performances and hearing his music on Jazz 91.9 at various times.  He's a multi-instrumentalist and a contemporary Jazz mainstay.  We're playing Christmas songs from his recent release of the same name via CD Baby, including My Favorite Things.

Vocalist Leslie Odum, Jr. is fresh off performing in the 2017 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and appearing in Kenneth Branagh's Murder On The Orient Express.  As well, Odum, has re-released  his album, Simply Christmas just in time for the holidays.  Odum, who won a Tony Award for playing Aaron Burr in Hamilton On Broadway, delivers Christmas classics in his own understated, smooth style.  You can hear cuts from Simply Christmas as a part of  the Jazz 91.9 WCLK Holiday music rotation.

Jazz 91.9 WCLK  Jazz Christmas and Holiday music playlist begins on Thanksgiving Day. We'll take you through New Year's Day playing your favorite holiday songs from your favorite Jazz artists.   Ranging from Nat King Cole to Lindsey Webster, we'll have you covered for a special blend of Holiday cheer.

One of our favorite new records is Dave Koz and Friends 20th Anniversary Christmas, just out on Concord. The record includes 13 holiday classics, as Dave is accompanied by David Benoit, Rick Braun, Peter White and many others.
