If you are looking to hear the spirit of Miles Davis on a Contemporary Jazz record, I recommend you take a listen to Takuya Kuroda's new release on Concord, Zigzagger. Kuroda plays with a wide combination of players and, textures in a way that is satisfying and challenging at the same time.  He even joins up with Brooklyn Afro-beat Stylists, Antibalas for "Think Twice."  Jazz 91.9 WCLK will be featuring cuts from Zigzagger at various times throughout the day, including on Serenade To The City, Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.

Saxophonist Ed Calle hails from Miami and is a Latin Grammy-Award Winner.  His latest record on Mojito Records is called 360 and features more Contemporary and Mainstream Jazz.  The takes spotlights a smaller combination of players which includes Arturo Sandoval.  This combination is more straightforward Latin Jazz.  You can hear cuts from 360 at various times on  Jazz 91.9 WCLK in particular on Sundays from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Jazz Tones with Jay Edwards; and, during Serenade To The City, Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
