Bounce TV is celebrating Black History Month with a special installment of Ed Gordon called Am I Black Enough?  The program will examine the nuances of cultural identity within the Black community to define exactly what it means to “be Black.” The award-winning journalist and series producer/host Gordon explores this interesting subject matter with influencers such as Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Anderson, Wayne Brady, Yara Shahidi, Taye Diggs, Charlamagne Tha God, Misty Copeland, Boris Kodjoe and others.

"The Golden Globe Awards" air tomorrow night at 8 p.m. on NBC and a record number of African-American actors have been nominated. “Insecure” star Issa Rae is up for  “Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy” along with black-ish actress Tracee Ellis Ross. “Atlanta” actor Donald Glover and black-ish‘s Anthony Anderson are also in the running for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.”


UNCF (the United Negro College Fund) recently taped its 36th installment of UNCF An Evening of Stars®, a celebrity-packed event that raises money and awareness for minority education. The show is full of performances and scholarship presentations to inspire and support the next generation of “Rising Stars.” This year’s show highlights 19 students and presents more than one-half million dollars to students attending historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Atlanta will play host to this year's UNCF An Evening of Stars and the performance lineup is nothing less than spectacular. Grammy-winning artist Jill Scott will headline along with R&B legends, The Isley Brothers. Also scheduled to perform is gospel superstar Ty Tribbett, R&B newbies Sevyn Streeter and August Alsina, soul music artist Alice Smith and YouTube sensation, Spoken Reason. Actor Anthony Anderson is back as the host.
