Come join the Center For Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development as they host CCRTD Day for the last home game of the basketball season, this Saturday, March 1 from 3pm to 6pm. Your Health Connection On Coping With Cancer

JaQuitta Williams was joined last night on Your Health Connection by Tiffany Cochran, Ezell Blues, and Christal Jordan for a roundtable discussion of how to cope with cancer from the perspective of a survivor and a caregiver.

Tiffany Cochran was caregiver for her father Johnny Cochran through his battle with terminal brain cancer.  Ezell Blues is a nine year prostate cancer survivor who is also caring for a teenage son who has leukemia.  Publicist Christal Jordan is an ovarian cancer survivor.

Your Health Connection Discusses Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Your Health Connection on WCLK featured a timely and important discussion of triple negative breast cancer for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  In a fascinating twist for listeners, our host JaQuitta Williams was also the guest survivor featured on the program.   She is a survivor of this particularly tough form of the disease, which disproportionately affects young people and African Americans.

JaQuitta was joined by leading Atlanta Surgeon Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed, who operated on her and has helped many Atlantans through the ordeal of breast cancer over the years.

WCLK and Your Health Connection Remember Ralph C. T. Franklin

WCLK and our partners at the Center For Cancer Research and Therapeutic development are mourning the loss of our friend and  courageous advocate for prostate cancer awareness Ralph C. T. Franklin.  On Sunday, October 13, Franklin died from complications due to prostate cancer.  He was 62.
