Start Something: Activism and the Atlanta Student Movement records how students from Atlanta University, Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University), The Interdenominational Theological Center, Morris Brown College, Morehouse College and Spelman College joined forces to create the Atlanta Student Movement.  These students developed nonviolent boycotts, sit ins, picket lines and, marches that left Atlanta officials with no choice except to desegregate stores and public facilities.

Saturday morning, April 2 at 7:00 on The Local Take on Jazz 91.9 WCLK, I'll feature a discussion with Clark Atlanta University Political Science Professor Dr. William Boone and Historian Hermina Glass-Hill.

Jazz 91.9 WCLK is Panther proud to join Clark Atlanta University officials, stakeholders and dignitaries at the Georgia State Capitol for CAU DAY during the 2016 Georgia Legislative Session.   We met old friends, and made some new ones.  We even added new Jazz 91.9 WCLK members!   And, added a dose of Jazz preservation to the agenda for the day under the Gold Dome.   Mark Angel called in and talked about the afternoon of activities with Jamal Ahmad during the SOUL of Jazz.
