Dr. Judi The People's Advocate returns Saturday, August 19 at 7:30 a.m. on Jazz 91.9 WCLK with a compelling discussion about how chess can help young people learn mental discipline;  and, an attitude to help them overcome obstacles in life. Hudson provides chess lessons and motivational support for young people across the country as part of his organization besomeone.org.

Obtaining an education is one of the greatest achievements a person can accomplish. When you are missing something that everyone else seems to have, like a high school diploma, the hole in your life can cause shame and embarrassment.  Saturday, July 22 at 7:30 a.m. on Dr. Judi, The People's Advocate, Judi Crocker Billingsley will talk with Diane Daniels Adoma.  Adoma overcame obstacles as a foster child, high school dropout and teen mom to get first her GED.  After that, she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees up to and including a PhD.

Recent data from the Atlanta Children's Shelter shows that close to 60,000 Georgia children and teenagers experience homelessness every year, with nearly half of those under six years old. Dr. Redd has a degree in Psychology from the University of Memphis, and an MSW and a Ph.D in Policy, Planning, Administration and Social Work from Clark Atlanta University.

Her guest is Linda Pearl Fils-Aime, a fashion model who began her professional career walking the runways for Ebony Fashion Fair touring the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.
