Join WCLK's Jamal Ahmad for Friday Jazz at the High on May 18 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday Jazz at the High offers a great line up of Jazz styles, from straight ahead to free Jazz, Bebop to Swing and more. While listening to the music, patrons can also check out the High Museum of Art's permanent and featured collections. 

Support for Jazz 91.9 WCLK programming comes from the High Museum of Art, presenting Friday Jazz, January 19 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.   Jamal Ahmad, host of SOUL of Jazz on WCLK is your emcee for the evening.   This month features the Jazz, R&B, Funk and Soul Music sounds of King Baby.   Attendees can also view A Fire That No Water Could Put Out: Civil Rights Photography.   More information is available here.

The High Museum of Art has revealed a full schedule of programs and activities to support its current exhibition “Making Africa: A Continent of Contemporary Design.” Atlanta is the first U.S. city to host multi-media production which will be on display beginning TODAY through January 7, 2018.

 

Check out this week’s edition of #UPFRONT! My special guests include singer Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas from the Grammy-award winning girl group TLC. She'll be discussing her cameo as Zora Neale Hurston in “Marshall.” The film opens nationwide in theaters this weekend.

The High Museum of Art has a new exhibition debuting today titled, #MAKINGAFRICA. I caught up with the show’s curators Carol Thompson and Amelie Klein to discuss what viewers can expect from the show and more.

Join WCLK's Jamal Ahmad tomorrow night for "Friday Jazz at the High." June features the sounds of vocalist Faith Carmichael who blends jazz, soul, and folk to create a unique sound.  Attendees will also get a chance to see the Andy Warhol: Prints from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, now through September 3, 2017.
