Dave Koz is bringing his annual "Christmas Tour" to Atlanta's Cobb Energy Center tonight at 8 p.m. The show features the award winning-jazz saxophonist along with special guests jazz guitarist and vocalist Jonathan Butler, R&B crooner Kenny Lattimore and legendary singer-songwriter Valerie Simpson of Ashford & Simpson. Check out what he had to say about the highly anticipated production as well as his new music projects and more.

Legendary Vocalist, Patti Austin called in to the SOUL of Jazz and I have to say, it was one of the most refreshing interviews I've done in my 21 years in radio.  She was so humble, funny and graceful.   Atlanta, you got to see her live on 11/17 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre along with Spyro Gyra at the Jazz 91.9 WCLK Benefit Concert. It's like seeing one of your favorite stand-up comedians, who also just so happens to sing. Think Eddie Murphy in reverse.

It is with immense sadness that we, the Jazz 91.9 WCLK family, send our condolences to the family of legendary Jazz Bassist, Bob Cranshaw.   He passed away November 2, 2016.   I was extremely blessed to be able to speak to the man on the air about his life and legacy. His work with legends like Thelonious Monk, Lee Morgan, Ella Fitzgerald, Sonny Rollins and so many more, simply can't be ignored by anyone who claims to be a fan of this music.
