Fulton Focus Debriefs On County Services During Our Recent Winter Storms

Fulton Focus is a monthly presentation of WCLK and the Fulton County Office of Communications.  On this month's program host Rob Maynard was joined by Fulton County Fire Chief Larry Few, Transportation Program Manager Victor Robinson, and Office of Aging Program Manager Kenn Vanhoose for a look at how Fulton County Government assisted citizens in during our recent winter storms.

Stand by Me Features CAU Philharmonic Society, Morehouse, Spelman College Glee Clubs Sunday @11a

Stand by Me Composer and Arranger Stephen M. Lee, Artist In Residence at The Lyke House:The Catholic Center at AUC.

Stand by Me: A Celebration of African-American Song,  features new arrangements of traditional African American spirituals and includes performances by the Morehouse and Spelman College Glee Clubs and the Clark Atlanta University Philharmonic Society.  This special African American History Month program is produced by WCLK, hosted by Program Director Aaron Cohen and  it features Stephen M. Lee, arranger and composer of the music.

Stand by Me airs on Sunday, February 23 at 11am.

JaQuitta Williams, Guests Take Your Calls About Coping With Cancer on Your Health Connection

JaQuitta Williams is the host of Your Health Connection on WCLK. She has an extensive background in broadcast journalism and is a triple negative breast cancer survivor.

Wednesday night at 6pm Jamal skates an hour early and the Cancer Center at Clark Atlanta University presents Your Health Connection, a live talk show about facing up to cancer. 

This month our topic is "coping with cancer" and JaQuitta is joined by guests including Tiffany Cochran, who cared for her father Johnny Cochran through terminal cancer, and Christal Jordan, an ovarian cancer survivor.

CAU, U.S. Department of State Welcome Russian Journalists On Olympic Kickoff

The U. S. Department of State welcomes academic journalists from Russia and particularly Russia's Far East, as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program.  Following visits at the Grady School and Carter Center yesterday, this group will tour Clark Atlanta University and the King Center and historic district today, with stops at CAU-TV 23 and 91.9 FM WCLK.  Welcome to our Russian colleagues as their own country's Olympic moment begins in Sochi.

CAU Galleries Art Auction Sunday 2-5pm-Renowned Artists Celebrate Richard A. Long

Sunday afternoon February 9 from 2-5pm is the time and CAU's Trevor Arnett Hall is the place for Ascending Yellow at the Clark Atlanta University Galleries.  This festive celebration of great visual and spoken word arts will feature an auction of internationally renowned artwork with proceeds going towards the historic permanent collection at CAU.  Broadway and television actress Lisa Arrindell Anderson will emcee.
