Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company presents the Atlanta premiere of "The First Noel." It's playing now through December 24 at the GA Tech's Ferst Center for the Arts. The show is written by NYC's LeLund Thompson and Jason Webb and is directed by TV, Film and Broadway star---Jasmine Guy.

The show featured the hosts of GPB's new talk program, "A Seat at the Table," Christine White, Denene Millner and Monica Pearson. The ladies chatted about the success of the series and why it is unlike any other show on television.

It featured Jenn McEwen, Managing Director for Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company. In our two-part segment, McEwen discussed the company's 15th Anniversary Season which will include the Regional Premiere of the Tupac Shakur inspired musical "Holler If Ya Hear Me" as well as August Wilson's "King Hedley II" and Colman Domingo's "DOT. " We also talked about the August Wilson Monologue Competition. 

This week on The Local Take I speak with actors Tracy Bonner and Re, both appearing in the new True Colors Theatre Company production of EXIT STRATEGY.

The play speaks directly to the closing of schools and the impact not only on the teachers and students but on the community as a whole. The playwright, Ike Holter, was writing about school closings in Chicago, but this is happening to schools all over the country.
