Join us for The CheckUp with Dr. Courtney M. Shelton MD at a new time -- 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 3.   February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness And Prevention Month, and Dr. Shelton will be joined by Domestic Violence Prevention Advocate Kimya Motley of Haven of Light International, who has turned abuse in her life into a positive by becoming a voice for those who are violently and sexually abused. Did you know 1.5 million high school boys and girls in the US admit to being hit or physically harmed last year by someone they are romantically involved with?

Heart to Heart with Dr. Alduan Tartt returns Tuesday evening June 9 at 6pm with a look at healthy relationships in the aftermath of domestic violence.

Dr. Tartt will be joined by Life-Coach Tamik0 Lowry-Pugh and domestic violence survivor Kimya Motley.

They’ll talk about overcoming domestic violence and letting ‘the rest of the story’ be ‘the best of the story.’ We’ll also feature your calls, live.

Heart to Heart with Dr. Tartt airs exclusively on WCLK and is available on demand here at wclk.com and is made possible by Clark Atlanta University and Verizon Wireless.

Kimya Motley didn't imagine she would be the victim of a horrific act of domestic violence.  But in 2011 she and her daughter were both shot in the head by her ex-husband and left for dead.  She and her daughter survived and she has persevered to become an advocate for domestic violence survivors.

Motley joined Host Daphne Walker on WCLK Wednesday, November 5 at six pm for The Call To True Beauty, a live interactive talk program designed to help you find healthier, happier relationships.
