Grammy Award winning Jazz Guitarist, Norman Brown stopped by Jazz 91.9 WCLK during SOUL of Jazz with Jamal Ahmad on December 16 to discuss his upcoming Atlanta engagement.   Brown will take part in A Gospel According to Jazz on Saturday, December 19, 8:00 p.m. at Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, 407 Auburn Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30312.  He talked about this special performance, his guitar history and provided advice for young musicians.

Grammy-winning Saxophonist Kirk Whalum stopped by the radio station today to speak on the importance of having and maintaining public radio. He also made a contribution to the cause. We are in the midst of our Spring Pledge Drive in an effort to keep WCLK 91.9 alive and thriving. Thank you Mr. Whalum for taking the time to come in and speak to our Atlanta listeners.

It's not too late to be there for tonight's Jazz Roots event at Cobb Energy Peforming Arts Centre, featuring Take Six, Kirk Whalum, Nnena Freelon, Clint Holmes, The Clark Atlanta University Band and Singers and the Ebenezer Church Choir.  They will be celebrating the diverse stylings of Albany Georgia's Ray Charles.
