April 13: NNPA Fellowship Program for HBCU Students “Discover the Unexpected”

The National Newspaper Publishers Association has announced its search for HBCU students from the AUC who are pursuing careers as writers, photographers and social media specialists to award their 2017 NNPA Fellowship. The program is designed to support the next generation of African American journalists and storytellers to blaze new trails in journalism. Fellows will be paired with professional advisors at leading NNPA newspapers in Washington D.C, Atlanta, New Orleans and Raleigh. Students selected as NNPA Fellows will receive a $10k scholarship, a generous stipend, and access to the Next-Generation 2018 Chevrolet Equinox to use during a portion of their reporting assignments.
