Friday Jazz At The High Museum Features Melvin Jones, Hosted By Nicole Sweeney

Trumpeter Melvin Jones is joining Nicole Sweeney for Friday Jazz At The High Museum Friday, January 18 at 5pm.  Jones will be joined by Saxophonist Mace Hibbard, Bassist Marc Miller, Louis Heriveaux on piano, and Marvin Patton on drums.

Jones has played with everyone from TLC to Quincy Jones, Erykah Badu to Stevie Wonder, and most everyone in between.  He's a Morehouse graduate and spent time there as Interim Director of Bands and Instrumental Studies.   In recent years he has toured with Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family

Friday Jazz At The High Museum is a chance to miss the traffic jam while digging great jazz and the current exhibits at The High, including their current featured exhibit Fast Forward: Modern Moments 1913>>2013, which closes this weekend.  This event begins at five pm.
