Honorable Judge Brenda H. Cole Joins Midday Jazz Swing To Talk About CAU Guild, Jazz Under The Stars

Nicole Sweeney is joined on the Midday Jazz Swing today at noon by the Honorable Judge Brenda H. Cole for a discussion about the CAU Guild and it's annual fundraiser Jazz Under The Stars, coming up May 4 with Ramsey Lewis on the CAU Campus.  You can hear their chat on demand at the end of this post.

The CAU Guild has provided over $1.8 million to fund scholarships for students over the years.  Some 1,000 people are expected to attend this year's event, which takes place at 7pm in the Harkness Quadrangle on campus.

The CAU Guild was founded in 1992 by Judge Cole, CAU's former first lady.  You can read more about her and her accomplishments by clicking here.

The purpose of the CAU Guild is to develop a diverse group of volunteer women who will commit their time and resources to build awareness of the University’s art, music, drama and film programs. Specifically, the Guild will actively raise scholarship funds for students participating in the arts, drama, music and film at the University. While there may be several events in which financial support will be solicited, the Guild’s primary fund-raising event is its annual “Jazz Under the Stars” concert.
