In 1967, Congress established the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Three years later, National Public Radio (NPR) was created as a national production and, distribution center for news, information and cultural programming. That was 50 years ago.
Today, public radio is a network of individual members stations and supporters nationwide, including Jazz 91.9 WCLK.
