The City of Norcross once again presents its summer jazz concert series, Jazz in the Alley. Opening this year’s series is world renowned, award winning British singer, songwriter and producer Julie Dexter. Julie has shared the spotlight with a host of cutting edge artists including Lalah Hathaway, Jill Scott and Third World. She’s also a favorite choice of the Atlanta Jazz Festival each of the past several years. Her 7th album release, Under the Covers is yet another project that demonstrates how much she has been influenced by legends such as Nancy Wilson, Abbey Lincoln, and Bob Marley, as well as popular icons Omar and Sade. Jazz in the Alley is Saturday, June 24th at 7:30 p.m. in historic downtown Norcross. Limited tables and seating is available. Lawn chairs and picnic baskets are welcome.
