The season two opener of #UPFRONT airs tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. and features the cast of the documentary film "STEP" as well as the BronzeLens Film Festival.
"STEP" is a Sundance Film Festival winner that follows the lives of an all-female step team from the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. These courageous girls are empowered by their teachers, teammates, counselors, coaches and families, as they chase their ultimate dreams: to win a step championship and to be accepted into college.
The film also takes viewers into the personal lives of three of the steppers---Blessin Giraldo, Cori Grainger and Tayla Solomon---and how family and faith play a big role in their overal success. #UPFRONT will also talk to the girl's step mistress, Gary "Coach G" McIntyre, their college counselor Paula Dofat and the film's director Amanda Lipitz.
Closing out the show is the Executive Producer of the BronzeLens Film Festival (BLFF), Kathleen Bertrand and the Festival's Chairman of the Board, Tirrell Whittley. They will talk about this year's activities including the Women Superstars Luncheon, "All Shorts, All Day" and becoming an Oscar qualifying Festival.
We'll also be playing new music from saxophonist Mike Burton with vocalist Paula Champion and throwback sounds from Sweetback.
