Your Health Connection Discusses HIV/AIDS. Bottom line: Get Tested

Jun 27, 2013

Your Health Connection is a resource for you, designed to help you find good health outcomes.  The program is produced by WCLK and the Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University.

This month, Your Health Connection takes a look at HIV-AIDS and the cancers often associated with the disease.  Our guests are Dr. Vincent Bond and Rodney Love.  The show airs tonight at 6pm in place of Tell Me More, and is available here for on demand listening.

June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, please take the time to educate yourself and others about risks and preventive measures.  You can learn more about that here.

Dr. Vincent Bond is the Director of The Research Center In Minority Institutions at the Morehouse School of Medicine.  He is also a professor of microbiology, biochemistry and immunology.

Rodney Love is an LGBT and HIV-AIDS activist who works along some of the major LGBT and HIV-AIDS organizations in the Atlanta area.

They will discuss the public health and cutting edge scientific aspects of HIV-AIDS, some 30 years on after the disease first began taking a devastating toll in communities around the globe.
