Atlanta Business League

The Atlanta Business League (ABL) will host their 84th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 14 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.  At this Annual Meeting business leaders are inducted into the ABL Business Hall of Fame.   On the November 11 edition of The Local Take, we speak with two of the inductees, Noel Khalil and Rodney K. Strong. 

Noel Khalil is the founder and owner of Columbia Residential, LLC which  began in 1991. I speak with Mr. Khalil about his decision to become an entrepreneur.  He shares that his business focuses on affordable housing.

CEO, Rodney K. Strong.

Jazz 91.9 WCLK is live from the Atlanta Business League Super Tuesday Conference at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel on September 26.   On Saturday, September  23 at 7:00 a.m. on WCLK,  The Local Take talked with Alexis Davis Smith, co-chair of the Atlanta Business League 33rd Annual Super Tuesday Conference.  Alexis explained that the event has three components:   1) the Women of Vision Breakfast;  2) concurrent workshops; and, 3) the awards luncheon.

WCLK congratulates Dr. Joyce J. Dorsey, President and CEO of Fulton/Atlanta Community Action Authority on her selection to receive the prestigious Visions of Excellence Award at the 2017 Atlanta Business League CEO Awards Luncheon. Lauded as an organizational developer, social worker and community activist, Dr. Joyce J. Dorsey was molded to develop and lead organizations early in life. She is a Spelman and Atlanta University School of Social Work graduate with career experience in corrections and as a management consultant. She presently serves with the Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority, Inc (FACAA) and participates with Atlanta’s Concerned Black Clergy, Fulton County’s Workforce Investment Board of Directors and many others.

WCLK congratulates Grace Fricks, President & CEO of Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs, Inc. on her selection to receive the prestigious Visions of Excellence Award at the 2017 Atlanta Business League CEO Awards Luncheon. In 1999 Fricks founded Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs, Inc. (ACE) to help underserved business owners start or expand their businesses through capital, coaching and connections.
