Jazz 91.9 WCLK listeners enjoyed cuts from Elias' 2015 release Made In Brazil, in particular the song Driving Ambition.  Her performance at the Atlanta Jazz Festival created a memorable Brazilian music buzz in the city too.  Elias has a new record coming out this week called Dance of Time, on Concord Jazz.  

Eliane Elias headlines the 39th Atlanta Jazz Festival International Stage Sunday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Piedmont Park.   Most Atlantans know about Elias from hearing her music on  Jazz 91.9 WCLK, in particular, Made In Brazil, her 2015 release featuring her song Driving Ambition.  The New York-based, Brazilian born Elias is a producer, lyricist, vocalist, pianist, arranger, composer and artist.  She checked in with  Jamal Ahmad, host, SOUL of Jazz, recently to talk about her music, Bossa Nova and her upcoming performance in Piedmont Park.
