Hope Atlanta Delivers to Underserved Communities

Feb 18, 2017

On the February 18 edition of The Local Take on  Jazz 91.9 WCLK, I speak with Ed Powers and Chokel Taylor about Hope Atlanta.  Hope Atlanta evolved from an organization that started over 100 years ago, which evolved into Traveler's Aid and is now known as Hope Atlanta. Hope Atlanta Executive Director Ed Powers explains that the new name reflects the organization's mission to help underserved communities.

The Veterans Empowerment Project of Georgia seeks to provide a wide range of services needed by veterans of our armed services who are homeless.  They are holding a jazz-themed event Friday July 25 @ 6pm at the Helene Mills Multi-Purpose Center at 515 John Wesley Dobbs Avenue in the Old Fourth Ward.
