Morris In The Morning

Jazz 91.9 WCLK celebrates Clark Atlanta University Homecoming Week by recognizing another proud Panther success - filmmaker Nnegest Likké, who has returned this week to campus to host a premiere of her new film Everything But A Man.

I spoke with Likké this morning about her work and her CAU experience and the influence of CAU's Dr. Herb Eichelberger.   For a complete list of CAU Homecoming 2017 events, click here.

Join me Friday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. on Atlanta Alive on Atlanta's 57 WATC.  I discuss The Morris Code 21 Ways Something Good Is Going To Happen To You.  Find out more by clicking here.

Join us for the annual Morris Baxter Birthday Bash on Thursday, February 16 at Suite Food Lounge, 275 Luckie Street in Downtown Atlanta. Each year this celebration takes place with over 200 Atlanta Jazz lovers and mystery Jazz artists who set the atmosphere for the evening. This is your chance to wish the source of your Morning Motivations a Happy Birthday! We'll see you Thursday.

Incognito featuring Maysa, along with Deborah Bond, stopped by Morning Jazz today to talk about their performance tonight at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. We also touched on the music business, the creative process, and Bluey's tips for getting work done in the studio. Tickets are still available for tonight's performance. Click here for ticket information.

Join me Saturday, September 24, 5:30 p.m. at Betty Mauldin Park in Downtown Historic Norcross, GA.   I will host Jazz in the Alley featuring the Jazz vocals of Tony Hightower.  The outdoor event is open to the public.  Patrons are encouraged to bring chairs, picnic baskets and their favorite beverages.  Or, get dinner-to-go from one of the many nearby restaurants.
