Today's #UPFRONT is an exciting one!

It features my one-on-one interview with media maven Rashana Ali as she talks about her new daytime talk show, “The Sister Circle.” It premieres this Monday, September 18 at 9 a.m. as part of TV One’s new fall programming. The radio personality and philanthropist also opens up about being a part of this weekend’s Pretty Girls Sweat Fest and much more.

Don't forget to tune into this week's edition of #UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. Today's show will feature one-on-one interviews with the honorees from the recent BronzeLens Women Superstars Luncheon.  Crystal Fox, Neema Barnette and Nefertite Nguvu all talked exclusively to us about being recognized for their careers in front of and behind the lens.

The season two opener of #UPFRONT airs tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. and features the cast of the documentary film "STEP" as well as the BronzeLens Film Festival.

"STEP" is a Sundance Film Festival winner that follows the lives of an all-female step team from the Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. These courageous girls are empowered by their teachers, teammates, counselors, coaches and families, as they chase their ultimate dreams: to win a step championship and to be accepted into college.

Today's edition of #UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry was full of Black star power.  I got a chance to talk to the ladies of "Girls Trip," which opens in theaters nationwide this weekend. Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall dish about their roles while the film's producer---Will Packer---weighs in on why this particular film is so important. Mayor Kasim Reed also talked about his desire for Atlanta to make this film #1 at the box office.
